7. Daily Assignments/Lessons Posting- Chalkboard by windows- Check this when entering the room to see if you need your textbook!!!

8. Class Participation Points- If you have an EXCUSED absence or tardy you will be given an alternative assignment to make up for those missing points- It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ask Ms. Schrage for an alternative assignment (see Absent Work Policy #11).  You will also lose points for being off task or sleeping!

9. Class Preparation Points- Every day you will earn FIVE points for: being in class (no loss of points for excused absences), being on time (no loss of points for Excused Tardies or Excused Late Arrivals), having your book, and wearing your ID Badge.  You MAY lose more than FIVE points a day if needed due to lack of responsibility.  Being off task or sleeping will cause a loss of points too!!!

10. Late Work Policy- Lose ONE grade PER DAY after 2:45 pm on the due date (10%), unless it is due during your class hour, then you will lose ONE GRADE the moment it is due and not handed in.

11. Absent Work Policy-TWO Days to get your work in for every ONE excused day you miss-See Late Work Policy (# 9) after your two days are up.  If you had an EXCUSED absence on the day of a TEST or a QUIZ, you have FOUR days to make it up until the late work policy applies!  The day you return counts as the first day.  See Make-Up Work board in the back of the room (See #15-Absent Policy)- It is YOUR responsibility to get your missed work and to write on the top of the assignment that it is MAKE UP WORK, otherwise it WILL be counted as late!!!

12. Extra Credit Assignments- Can be found on the back bulletin board with Make-Up work- each assignment will be worth a certain % of your grade.

13. No talking during individual work time or during DEAR time!  WHY ????? People need it quiet to concentrate; thus, out of respect for your fellow classmates, there will be NO talking when doing in-class individual work (See Rule #1).  You may QUIETLY listen to headphones ONLY during this time.

14. UNexcused Tardy Policy- Be IN the room when the bell rings and on your way to your seat.  NO class preparation points for that day will be given.

16. Absences for Field Trips, College Visits, Band/Choir Lessons, ISS, OSS, etc- You are considered absent; however, since it was a planned absence, then the absent work policy (#11) does NOT apply, your work is ALL due when you return, NO EXCUSES and the Late Work Policy (#10) applies!  Get your work BEFORE you go!
